Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz (born January 10, 1993) popularly referred to as Rauw Alejandro is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He has been dubbed the "King Of Modern Reggaeton".[2][3] He belongs to the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. His debut album, Afrodisiaco, was released in November of 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album. The first single, "Todo de Ti" was released in June 2021. From 12 nominations, the singer has won two Latin Grammy Awards. Raul Alejandro Olasio Ruiz was born in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the 10th of January, 1993. His family was raised in Carolina and Canovanas. His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a guitarist , and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his backing vocalist. He was introduced to music by Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. 6 Alejandro lived with his father for a long time in the United States, mostly New York City and Miami where were influenced by R&B and the dancehall genres. [7][8] Alejandro and fellow Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA are childhood friends; they all attended the same school and took classes together. [9][10] Alejandro was a talented dancer when he was a kid and participated in talent shows. After finishing high school, Alejandro attended the University of Puerto Rico. He played soccer between six and twenty. However, he eventually left because he was unable to perform as expected. To be a scout for the Premier Development League (PDL) the player moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro's musical style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also enjoys dance music and rhythmic pop. Billboard noted that it's contributed to "set him out from the growing group of reggaetones who lean towards pop". Presley and Jackson were influential early on. He was later influenced by Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee. [24He also credits Ciara as a musical influencer.
